It is the most beautiful time of year, especially in Phoenix, Arizona. Phoenix has some of the most gorgeous winters and they also have some of the most festive events across the state to get you in that holiday spirit!
World of Illumination
Located just a short drive from the new master-planned community known as Sky Crossing, World of Illumination is located at Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe. The largest animated light show in the world is fully synchronized to your favorite holiday music. The entire experience is a 25-minute drive through 2 million twinkling lights. It is fun for all ages and is open nightly through the holiday season.
Christmas at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
Located in Scottsdale down the road from North Phoenix, the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess turns into a winter wonderland. This year is the 10th annual Christmas display at the beautiful resort. You can enjoy a 45-foot lit tree, holiday music and 67,000 LED lights throughout the property. The family can also see Santa, ice skate, enjoy refreshments and take part in some of the family-friendly activities offered. You can check out the festivities all month of December.
CitySkate Holiday Ice Rink
To really get in the holiday spirit, downtown Phoenix hosts a real ice rink on Central Avenue. Taylor from Desoto Central Market checked it out last year and said it was a gorgeous place to enjoy the great Phoenix weather while also celebrating the holidays. Guests can ice skate in the heart of downtown Phoenix surrounded by sparkling lights and a massive holiday tree.
Las Noches de Las Luminarias
Right next to the Phoenix Zoo sits the Desert Botanical Garden. This year, you can explore the garden with 8,000 flickering luminaries lining the pathway of the desert flora and landscape. In addition to these lights, guests can enjoy adorable giant plastic animals throughout the landscape. It really is a gorgeous place to capture a true Arizona Christmas.
It doesn’t matter where you are in Phoenix, there is something for all ages to get you in that holiday spirit and enjoy the mild temperatures and clear skies that winter brings to Arizona.
