1. Lalbagh Botanical Garden
Lalbagh Botanical Garden is one of the best gardens in India and one of the best places to visit in Bangalore. The garden was built in 1760 after the ruler of Mysore, Hyder Ali commissioned the development it. Spread over an area of 240 acres of land, you get to see more than 1,800 species of flora in here. Also, the garden has some rare species of flora from Persia, Afghanistan, and France. Head to the Glass House in the garden which is built based on Crystal Palace in London. 2. Bangalore Place
Bangalore Place is one of the most visited places in Bangalore and is situated in the heart of the city. Built by Rev. J. Garrett, the palace construction was completed in 1944 and is spread over an area of 454 acres. Later, it was bought by the Maharaja of Mysore, Chamarajendra Wodeyar X in 1887. The palace is built in Tudor style of architecture and is famously known for its wooden carved work. The walls are decorated with the paintings of the 19th century. Main attractions to see include an open square courtyard with granite seats, a ballroom, the Durbar hall, stools made of elephant feet, vases of the elephant trunk, and trophies of elephant hunting.
3. Tipu Sultan’s Palace
Tipu Sultan’s Palace is one of the most important places for the people of Bangalore. Also, known as Tipu’s Summer Palace, the palace was used as a summer retreat by the Sultan. The structure of the palace is similar to the Daria Daulat palace of Srirangapatnam. Depicting the Indo-Islamic style of architecture, the palace is built of teak wood, mortar, stone, and plaster. 5. Kaigal Waterfalls
Kaigal falls is one of the most visited places near Bangalore. Also known as Dumukurallu Waterfalls, this waterfall brings water from the height of 40 feet and is splashed with full force down. 6. St. Mary Basilica
St. Mary Basilica is the oldest and only church in the city with Basilica status. Built by Abbe Dubois in 1818, it was first built as a small chapel. Later, it was rebuilt and got the status of Basilica in 1973. Also, it was the sixth basilica in India. Built in Gothic style, this basilica has elegant arches, ornamental motifs, and stained glass windows. 7. Kemp Fort Shiva Temple

Inaugurated in 1995 by Sri Shankaracharya of Sringeri, it is a popular tourist place in Bangalore.
